Drug Charges

Police investigate break & enter that leads to drug charges.

Waywayseecappo First Nation, Manitoba: On December 10, 2023, the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) responded to a break-and-enter in progress at a home that led to drug charges in Waywayseecappo First Nation.


Members of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service attended to the residence. They spoke to the homeowner, who stated that the suspect broke a window to gain access to the residence but left just before the Police arrived. Police were able to track the suspect to a nearby abandoned residence. During the arrest, Police located drug trafficking paraphernalia, a large quantity of cash with individually wrapped packages of suspected cocaine in individual bags with a total weight of 8.5 grams.


The suspect was arrested and charged with the following offences:


·       Break, Enter with intent,

·       Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking,


The suspect is a youth and cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
