Criminal Record Checks

What We Offer

Criminal Record Checks

Manitoba First Nations Police Service

There are two types of Police Record Checks offered:

  1. Police Criminal Record Check (PCRC)
  2. Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)

You can apply for the basic Criminal Record Check online at PCRC

**Important** A Police Vulnerable Sector Check can only be done by the Police Agency in the jurisdiction in which you live.

If you live in one of the First Nation communities we serve and would like to apply for a Police Record Check or a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, you can apply online using this link: Online Criminal Record Check or you can apply in person at your local MFNPS detachment.

The initial decision to request a vulnerable sector check is made by the employing or volunteer organization if they have determined that the position is one of trust or authority over children or vulnerable persons.

The Police Service conducting the vulnerable sector check may ask for more information to determine if the position meets the legal requirements to conduct one.

If the position does not meet the requirements of the Criminal Records Act for a Vulnerable Sector check, it is illegal for the police service to conduct one. See the RCMP website for more information and frequently asked questions.:
