Inspector Beach joined the Manitoba First Nations Police Service in October of 2022. He is the Inspector of our Support Services Branch.

Inspector Beach grew up in the City of Winnipeg and graduated high school from Transcona Collegiate. He began his policing career in 1993 when he was selected to the First Nations RCMP Youth Training Program.

In 1998, Inspector Beach joined the Winnipeg Police Service where he worked in General Patrol, Street Crime Unit and the Guns and Gang Unit.

Inspector Beach is the recipient of the Police Exemplary Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada.

Derek is married and has two daughters. He is a proud member of the Peguis First Nation.
