Police Seek Assistance with Break and Enter Investigation

On April 7, 2024, the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) responded to a complaint of a break and enter in progress in Big Eddy area in Opaskwayak Cree Nation.


Members of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service were called too a residential break and enter, it was reported that no one was supposed to be in the residence but flashlights were seen inside. Police were in the area and attended immediately however according to neighbors 2 suspects ran from the residence just before Police arrival. The owner reports that one shotgun was stolen from the gun locker. Patrols of the area for possible suspects were negative.


Police are actively investigating this matter and are seeking the publics assistance for information regarding this incident.
